On Saturday, July 20th, 2024, the Columbia Basin Conservation District (CBCD) made a splash at Floodfest 2024. Our dedicated team, including Kaley Wisher, Dinah Rouleau, Ronnie Sawyer, Kristina Ribellia, and Harold Crose, attended and presented information on the Moses Lake Watershed Council's efforts, CBCD's Heritage Garden Program, and Cost Share Program. CBCD's booth also featured a demonstration of the benefits on no-till planting methods to help improve soil health and water quality.

Floodfest is an annual event sponsored by the Washington State Parks to celebrate and educate on the natural beauty of the Dry Falls area and the floods that shaped the Coulee Corridor near Coulee City, Washington.

This year’s Floodfest was particularly memorable, drawing 600 members of the "Mini Takes The States Tour 2024," who brought a unique and vibrant energy to the event with their Mini Cooper automobiles.
